Definitely more experimenting.

I agree, the sweet spot is likely not exactly on one of these nodes. I
suspect the reality is like this: You're at 4:2, going south. You can hear
the 6:3 beating. As you go south, the 6:3 slows down and the 4:2 starts to
beat. About halfway, both 6:3 and 4:2 are beating very slowly. When those
beats are in sync, I'd wager there's a psychological "blush" of some kind
("ooh, nice"), maybe a swell in the volume?

It worked fine for me... widoze 98 and IE.

Interesting, though a little tough on those little pc speakers.  I've always
wondered if the "sweet spot" isn't more a combination of octave types,
rather than just making one pure at the expense of the others.  More
experimenting?
