Hi Joe,

I recommend SpamBayes, http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/index.html. It's
free and it works. I've used several different spam filters and I like
this one.

It takes a little training to get it started. I use it in Outlook. To
get started you have to set up two mail folders, one with known good
mail and one with known bad spam. The program looks at what you call
good and what you call spam and then uses algorithms to judge all future
incoming mail, sending spam to a suspect folder or a spam folder. You
continue the training process by examining the spam folder and
"rescuing" any good messages, or marking as spam any messages that make
it through to your Inbox. After using it a couple of weeks and
continuing the training process it will become highly effective.
