models

Greg,

What you can do in Filemaker is that the field for Model or Make, for
example, can be "indexed" in the Define Fields dialog box. This means
that, in addition to, or instead of a "pop-up" field, you can just click
into the field and type Command-I (Control-I in Windows) which brings up
an alphabetized list of every entry ever made in that field.

This may not be what you're asking. Is this to be used as an aid to
typing information into a database?

If you are wanting to compile a complete list of piano makers and their
models, Larry Fine's Annual Supplement to The Piano Book would be a good
resource - nearly 100 pages of piano models currently being produced.
