Hi, Brad:
    If you have a Harbor Freight store in your area, or online, you can get a very inexpensive buffing machine/grinder.  You can vary the size of the buffing wheels if you need a slower speed.  I think mine cost me about $60.00 or so.

I think I confused the variable heat control device, with this question.
