Thank you Cy Shuster and Dean May for responding to my problem. Here's another problem, I would like to respond off list but this "pianotec-bounces" thing won't let me simply click on your name to email you directly. Since this is not a piano topic why should it go the the list and besides I don't want it in the archives. Regarding spam detectors, my ISP offers spam and virus detection at $2 a month, (or is it $3? Whatever, worth twice that!!) The ISP virus protection is the best I have come across and can imagine. My rule moves email where "To" contains "Pianotech" or files@ptg.org to a given folder. --Cy Shuster-- Bluefield, WV -----Original Message----- From: pianotech-bounces@ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces@ptg.org] On Behalf Of Dean May Sent: Friday, March 11, 2005 6:14 AM To: 'Pianotech' Subject: RE: My name missing in 'To line' as received from pianotech With your rule to delete anything that does not have your name in the "To:" line you are going to miss more than Pianotech. You will also miss anything that you are in the "CC:" or "BCC:" fields. Usually you can set a rule to accept anything that has your name somewhere in the header. You should also be able to set a rule that specifically accepts anything from Pianotech and have it process before the rule that deletes it if you are not in the "To:" field. Hope this helps. I'd recommend SpamBayes (www.spambayes.org). It is what I use in Outlook it works great and it is free. It takes a little bit to get going, but it is worth it.
