There is one more approach for this problem. You can add a single layer
of veneer between the una corder lever blocks under the keybed. This is
usually enough to give clearance for the top of the lever to swing clear of the top
of the keyframe mortise, and can be done very quickly. I use a spot of glue
on the veneer, and cut it cover the entire mating surface of the lever blocks.
Three pieces on each block will allow this contact and miss the screw holes.
If you want to use one piece and drill holes for the screws, go very slowly
or the veneer will splinter.
