Paint recommendations for sharps?

To keep sweat from dissolving the beautiful ebony
wood. I have seen sharps that look like Creamsicles
(TM) dropped on a summer sidewalk. To keep them from
being harbingers of boogers, pee, poop etc..

P.S. I do wish people would wash their hands before
playing pianos. Any pianos.
