The beauty of it is we don't give them real money at all. It's paper
with green ink on it. As long as they think it is worth something we are
okay. If they ever try to cash in the 100's of billion$ they are sitting
on we may be in trouble.

Greetings,
The American public is the reason that China is selling so many
goods
over here. We are the ones buying the goods produced over there. This
is a
very clear example of Americans helping themselves to the cheapest
bargains at
the expense of their own industry.
Our current political leaders have seen fit to overlook the dismal
human rights abuses in order to "open" China to our business leaders.
If we want
a change, it is going to have to come from our elected representatives.
That
means that Americans have to voice their displeasure or support. The
politicians that are in charge of trade sanctions, etc. are interested
in getting
reelected before anything else, and they are paying attention to votes,
only.
If the Chinese workers want to work harder than the Americans,
for
less money, we will have to compete with them or fail. That is the
capitalistic
way and we ARE a capitalistic country. Human rights, slavery,
environmental
damage, are all lesser priorities than more money. We have no one to
blame but
ourselves. It is true that in a democracy, we get the government that
we
deserve.
I personally think that if the funds that have been squandered in Iraq
had
been invested in education, we would have a better chance of improving
the
world.
