Avery, Years ago we did this and moved the pianos to another hall across town. I tuned the pianos before the move and then made a final check before performance. Arranging the pianos with keyboards on the inside of a circle for easy cross check of intervals is a way to get everything matching. Surprisingly the tuning stayed close. As one of the pianists confided to me "the keys are in the same place". Don't sweat the rehearsals. Close also counts in multi-piano tunings. Note which way each piano moves and you will have a handle on how to bring them together for the performance. Aaaah, yes, I remember those days. Keep in Tune ! !
