That might work if it has sufficient CFM. At Least 90. Also you'll need to filter the air at the intake port. Hopefully it's not a cheap motor and spew oil to contaminate your material. You might want a cooling fan in the box. Decent HVLP systems are inexpensive.There are some aspects where going cheap is costly in the long run. Look at Fugi and Turbinaire.
