Sounds like if you check all of the things you mentioned and tried altering a test note or 2 like Roger wrote...checking those same specs you will find out pretty quickly how much you can change...I think there is a slight tip downwards toward the action in most pianos...

I bet if you let the pianist know what this may cost him when you factor in all of the changes...the inclination won't seem so bad...;-]
