Hello Paul,
 
  Have you found any player parts for 
your Tom Thumb ?
 
  If you could find one of the old 
"Magic-Fingers" piano players that might 
work.  The spool box and drive motor are
very small.
 
   Anybody out there have or know where
 one is?
