Paul,
How rapidly do your current punchings rotate around the balance rail
pin at your longitude and latitude? Perhaps you could mark a sampling
of punchings at 12 o'clock and check at various intervals. Clockwise
or counterclockwise? Of course the varmints might do 360 degree spins
during lunar and solar eclipses, so this methodology could use further
refinements. Apply for that grant study money now!
