Hi Gregor

There is a school in Norway, but it has had many difficulties over the
years trying to find the right balance in the curriculum it offers. Its
hard to learn both tuning and regulation practice and theory in 2-3
years let alone try and cover rebuilding fully enough in that time
period. Its future is very much in the dark. There are some who are
working hard to keep it alive, but I really think it will close in some
few years. It is the last pianotech school in Scandinavia I believe.
Some go to Germany to enter apprenticeship at a factory. Others buy a
copy of some book and just get started. Pianotech schools are becomming
a thing of the past me thinks. There are a few ones left out there...
but they are dwindling in numbers. Here's a curious fact for you.
There is not one bonified piano dealership/store left in Stockholm
Sweden ! Crazy eh ?

Cheers
RicB

But how it´s in Norway? Everybody may market himself as tech, but
    how to
become a tech? How to learn a complete rebuilding? Are there schools
    which
    you have to pay for?

    Gregor
