Bridge Doglegs, was: Spreadsheet info / Jason Kanter

None that I am aware of. (Other than, of course, it is a violation of the strict
rules of TRADITION.) I've done this on several pianos with good results.

Hi all doglegs busters.
 
I had a brilliant idea concerning bridge doglegs.
Why not fitting two bridges in the place of the one long bridge, so it is easy
to locate those in order to avoid the string length problem at the strut ?  What
would be the drawback ?
I suppose that if this was not a stupid idea, manufacturers would have done
this.  But I'd like to understand why not.
