None that I am aware of. (Other than, of course, it is a violation of the strict rules of TRADITION.) I've done this on several pianos with good results. Why not fitting two bridges in the place of the one long bridge, so it is easy to locate those in order to avoid the string length problem at the strut ? What would be the drawback ?
