Ed, Schaff makes a #75 Reducer, #291 Shank Knurling Pliers, and #217 Hammer Shank Knurler. I strongly recommend the #217 knurler, even though it is the most costly of the 3 tools. Knurl for a loose fit - the moisture in the glue will swell the shank and make a nice tight joint.
