Reasons to choose NY over Hamburg S&S

I have the opposite problem.  How do you service New York hammers that are
awful.  I don't have any trouble with Renners, love 'em.

This was a first.  A customer of mine reports that he was advised of the
following by a reputable east coast dealer as to why one should buy a NY
over a Hamburg Steinway.  (to paraphrase) "Since Hamburg Steinway uses
Renner (German) parts and NY uses their own parts, US techs will not be as
familiar with how the Hamburg Steinways work and will have more difficulty
servicing them."

Makes me feel kind of, well, special...
