Dave, If this piano has a pedal prop bolt that connects the trap lever to the pedal itself, check where the bolt runs through the pedal. I have encountered squeaky groans at that interface, when the bolt rubs on the sides of the hole in the pedal. My remedy is to remove the pedal, enlarge the hole slightly, and bush it with leather. Best, William R. Monroe Hi All, I thought I could solve any damper pedal mechanism squeak, and up until recently, I've had pretty good luck. Then I met a recent model Hallet-Davis (Dongbei built, I believe) upright. I lubricated and tightened everything I could think of.
