This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment This looks interesting. I haven't seen it, but it looks like it would be better than a strict "dessicant" in maintaining a constant RH (as opposed to just removing moisture). I didn't see exactly what RH level it maintains, though. Time to go to uspto.gov!! _____ From: pianotech-bounces@ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces@ptg.org] On Behalf Of John Formsma Sent: Wednesday, February 01, 2006 8:57 AM To: Pianotech Subject: desiccant List, I was searching the web for "regenerating desiccant" and came across this product: http://www.zorb-it.com Has anyone used it? I'm going to order some for protecting the tools in my trunk. With respect to regenerating the desiccant you find in pianos, I've heard you can microwave it to regenerate it. Anyone know if this works? The drierite.com web site has instructions for doing it in a conventional oven, but I didn't see any instructions for the kind in the paper bags. Anyone know?
