Hi Tom, At least your're nice about it. :) I just have trouble feeling as if I 'm behind the 8 ball because I"m starting out at 40 in this. Man I wish I was only 20 and starting out. I did try to get into tuning however back then on several occasions. I just didn't have the right connections mixed with my desire and drive to get into tuning plus other persuits. Spepaking of learning the names of parts, I have three old actions here all from old uprights. These have stickers on them, the long pieces of thin wood that the keys push up and s on. Do these replace wippens, or are there wippens also on these old actions? That's my only question for today. More tomorrow. This too with best wishes and respectivity. ;) I'm in a good mude. ps. I have my sights on becoming an RPT for sure. ----- Original Message ----- From: "TOM DRISCOLL" <tomtuner@verizon.net> To: "Pianotech List" <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Saturday, February 25, 2006 10:52 AM Subject: Re: charging for downtime? > > Subject: Re: charging for downtime? > > >> Speaking of down time.
