Grin... the latest I heard was that New York was pushing through a
processes of uniformnimity and that the New York Style was to take over
in Hamburg. One example is what appears to be a push to move away from
needle voicing towards the New York method. Another is the marketing of
the Bostons and Essex. Not all the European Steinway techs are
enthusiastic about all this... but I believe I've noticed a lessening of
resistance over the past couple years. That goes for ETD's as well.
Personally, I always liked the 2 Steinways concept.
