Bridle straps' length

Use the soft pedal, if the wippens don't move, you should be all right.
If not, just bend the wire a bit, to compensate.

         Is there any consequence to replacing bridle straps with ones that are slightly shorter? Will slightly shorter (less than 1/8") straps affect the action's cycle?
