A 435 or A 440 ?

Hello Jack,
 
   Our standard pitch today is A-440.
If the strings don't break, tune the piano to A-440.
 
   I have raised several dozen of the 435s at  least.
Never a problem.
 
    It is always a possibility a string or even a plate  will
break.  
   It is also a possibility that strings or a plate will  break
if you --   LOWER  --  the pitch.
