Yes. I know what you mean. Sometimes a few of the clamp clothes
pins in a package are made with smaller (thinner) pieces of wood, therefore the
jaws open alittle wider...up to as much as 1/4 inch. Obviously there are no
stringent tolerance practices in the clothes pin factory!...this is a plus when
you need to clamp something alittle larger, also, when felts become unravelled
and I glue them back on, I clamp the clothes pin right at the base of the
hammer's bulb shape onto the moulding. It usually works. I carry afew larger
clamps in case the clothes pin wont hold it.
Thanks for the CA glue tip too, I'll try that.
