Relocating

Thanks Jim, Wil, and pianolady.

I'm currently a chemist in Shreveport, LA. I hope to have residual income
from my current position when I make the transition, but a "paying job" is
also an option at the beginning. I will do extensive research to find an
"underserved" market before I make any decisions. I would like to see your
attachements, Jim, but they didn't seem to make it through. You can try to
send them directly, if you wish ( jodel at kairos.net ). I also really like
the idea of "educating" piano owners: as a longtime player myself, I know
that very few players know anything of the "innards", and what keeps them
happy.

Subject: your own business

Hi John

. . . .In three to five years, I hope to relocate and start my own
business. . . .

What do you do now . .?
Where are you located . . ?

I've been providing piano services for almost 20 years in my area of
Ontario, Canada.
I too, wanted to have my own business, and enjoy the benefits, both time,
tax, and stress-reduction related.
I found that there wasn't enough business in the area, and have always had a
'paying' job, until a few years ago.
I came across a business opportunity, that fit wonderfully with my
appointment based piano biz . . the kind of thing that if you need an hour,
afternoon, day OFF, you are the master of that decision . . .

I have always approached my piano customers with an educational slant when
it came to repairs, and work on their pianos . . . if they understand how
things work, and how, in this case they're not, then the route to a fix, and
a job for me, ws made that much easier when they were 'informed. . . .
I love this kind of 'teaching' sales, and when I came across World Financial
Group, introduced to me incidentally by a piano teacher customer, their
educational approach really rang a bell . . .

I have attached a couple of articles for you to have a look at . .. no idea
if there might be any interest on your part, but they make interesting
reading . .
If you have questions, feel free to contact me directly . . .

regards
