I have a newer Pleyel...maybe 6 years old that is very nice except many of the double unison bass strings don't match up...i.e. can't get a good unison and/or octaves. I've tried pitchlock which helped a little. I have a set of strings from Pleyel I probably going to steal from... I'd carefully check the bass strings...tune all of the bass unisons David Ilvedson, RPT Pacifica, CA 94044 Original message From: PianoTek4u at aol.com To: pianotech at ptg.org Received: 10/6/2006 8:09:50 AM Subject: Thoughts on a Pleyel A friend of a friend is considering buying an upright Pleyel piano.......Model P 124, Serial Number 266630. My Pierce only mentions the serial number up to 1988. I've never worked on any of these pianos and am hoping to get some opinions on the quality, etc. I believe the asking price was close to $10,000. Thanks in advance for your input. Tony Bajada -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
