Securing leads in hammers

Hi list:
  
  discussion several days ago about keeping leads in hammer....small arbor presses, etc.
  
  
  A long while ago I did a set: drilled and hand-pressed in the  appropriate weight little piece of solder....and put a small drop of  hide glue on top of that, each side.
  
  nothing loose yet.
