One of my customers used that stuff that goes under rugs to keep them from sliding on a hard floor. It's not sticky from glue, but has a kind of rubbery "stickiness" that kept the music from sliding off. I think there is also some material that goes in cabinet drawers that might work. I imagine that the grooves are supposed to help keep the music from sliding off. These grooves are so shallow that they are almost useless.
