You may find that an old clothes iron is faster than a hammer head iron. The damp cloth cools down the lighter hammer iron rather quickly whereas the mass of the larger clothes iron can handle the whole set. A hammer iron is a worthwhile tool to own for dressing the hammer surface. I suppose you could look for a heating element with high wattage which produces a high heat. -- Regards, Jon Page
