Hybrid Honda Accords

A friend of mine is recycling cooking oil from restaurants. He puts it
through some process and out comes fuel that he burns in his older ('84)
Mercedes and newer Ford Powerstroke with no additives. He says it will gel
when the temp gets cold and will need to be blended then.

I'm not sure where you're reading all of that, but in my experience it
isn't the case.
The only "bio" I know of that can't be started in the engine is recycled
veggie oil. This is because it is a lot thicker, and needs to be run in
a warm engine.
The biodiesel I'm talking about, as found at www.gobluesun.com (the bio
I run on) doesn't need any engine modification.
Neat that you're seeing it in Oregon! It would be great if it would
become more popular everywhere.
