Hi Barbara,
I think your sisinlaw wants the name. better to buy a Accrosonic and stick a S&S decal on it,
she will have a better piano.
You might explain that while S&S makes fine instruments the console never was one of their finer
moments. 
Too few produced to reach the level of perfection of the 100 thousands made by other companys.

  My sister-in-law is on the hunt for a used piano and has asked me to look at a Steinway Console for her.  It's been a long, long time since I've serviced any of these and only remember that I didn't like them.  Besides difficulty in tuning is there anything else I can say to persuade her to look elsewhere?
