S Consoles

I have a few people, that have me tune them.
I HATE THEM. (The pianos)
I suppose mainly, because, I can't figure out how to tune them satisfactorily.
I have tried, lubricating the friction points with Goose Juice and CLP, didn't help.
I tried to just bring them to tune and stop. Didn't work.
Someone had said they just brought them up to the point of tune and stopped. What happens if they are high, and you have to bring them down? Like in a period of high humidity.
I am almost ready to refuse to tune them, I find them such a hassle.

  Help! Quick!

My sister-in-law is on the hunt for a used piano and has asked me to look at a Steinway Console for her. It's been a long, long time since I've serviced any of these and only remember that I didn't like them. Besides difficulty in tuning is there anything else I can say to persuade her to look elsewhere?

E-mail privately if you don't want to go on record..... :-)
