Hi,

 

Could it be those  square wippen springs in front of the keys that makes
people think this could be the bird cage action of the grand piano ?

 

Just an idea,

Okay, yes, I am familiar with the patent action, but where does the birdcage


action come in? And how do you know he is referring to the Patent action? 

I'm trying for figure out whether it is a grand or upright (like an upright 

grand).
