I don't think so, my understanding was we were talking about replacing individual strings in a strung piano the original comment was regarding an improvement of the Schaff Bass string twister/installer. Ichimed in by saying I had never owned on and just used my small vice grips for twisting and then on the hitch pin for keeping the loop inplace while I made the coil and placed it on the pin and pulled it to pitch.
