Ah ... here's an easy fix ...

While wearing gloves, pinch that hammerette when the good professor is out protesting global surfing or something.

CA it to any main-line railroad track and wait .... wait .... waaaaait ........ ah, heeeeere it comes ... rumble, rumble, ROARkathunkity wump wumpitty wump wumpkatink thud thud thud.....

After it has thus been appropriately modified by at least four engines and 50+ gondolas full of lead ore or scrap iron, CA all the pieces you can find into the rough shape of a toy tuning lever, then quietly slip it back into that Brinkermann.

Sneak away saying "BwaaaahahaHA ..." in an evil, but quiet and respectful voice.
