Interesting. The guy has a pretty aggressive pricing structure. I'm not sure what kind of markup retail piano dealers place on their pianos, but I know most other retail businesses mark up 100% over wholesale. What does a M&H dealer pay wholesale for a piano that sells for $60,000? $30K for a piano that you need to install the soundboard (I wonder what the heck kind of shape that is in - and you also need to consider that this is all Aeolian stuff), bridges, etc. - the entire belly. Is the action in 5,000 pieces as well? Oh, please tell me it comes with a full set of brand-new green monsters!!! Seems way overpriced to me. Interesting though. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if some piano non-technician-owner-wannabe might pick up one of these with the mindset: "some assembly required" - hey, how hard can it be? Terry Farrell ----- Original Message ----- I came across this odd listing on the Tokyo Craig's list (pianos are in the USA) For your amusement: "These pianos are unassembled and have never been built."
