The Heckler said: "Maybe - Vinegar dissolves hide glue" It's more likely to be the WATER in the vinegar! If you were to take Glacial Acetic Acid and immerse a board, that has been glued with hide glue, you could leave it in there FOREVER and the glue will not dissolve!!! I've done it. Hence the reason to use things like Wallpaper remover, which breaks down the surface tension and allow the water to penetrate into/around the hide glue. Alcohol is better than vinegar any time.
