Exactly where do you propose "gluing" a split bridge? Along the row of bridge pins? Where in the scale is the split? What kind of piano?

  hey all

i'm looking in the piano tech's guide by newton hunt for gluing a split bridge. it says on page 8, 3 hours for "Reglue old bridge." i assume this is for re-gluing a split bridge. does 3 hours, including removing and reinstalling bass strings (in this case) etc., seem about right to everyone? the first bridge i ever re-glued was 4-5 years ago, and i don't remember how long it took me; i'm sure a lot longer than 3 hours since it was my first job.
