If a dealer will only pay for one tuning, tune with an overpull and leave it. Advise him that it is not as stable as being tuned closer to pitch but it's his decision for one tuning. One can get an appreciable tuning in one pass within -16c. Beyond that, it shows on the extremes. But if you have to work for free to keep that job, you might as well kiss his feet every time he walks in the room. Demand pay commensurate with your abilities. -- Regards, Jon Page
