  Definitely start with the undercover. There may not be a lot of lateral drafts, as you mention, but air also travels up and down, especially if the temperature and humidity are different in different zones (think or our major midwest thunder boomers) so there probably would be quite a benefit to the undercover.

  String cover?

  If all else fails, tell them to keep a bowl of water in there and a 100 watt light bulb. (Just kidding!)
