One of my customers has a giraffe piano, an upright that has the hitch pins on top, tuning pins at the bottom, action hanging from underneath the keybed. The top of the piano is curved, like the tail of a grand piano. The only way I've figured how to tune it is to lie on the floor to turn the lever with one hand while I reach overhead to strike the notes with the other. No fancy interval testing, heavy reliance on ETD. Just before I stopped tuning square grands, due to my back. I actually, had the customer, 'pound' the keys, and I tuned from the back. Just the once though. Luckily, I could get behind without moving it. John M. Oh, the tiller extension! Okay! It works. You definitely loose sensitivity, but how intimate do you really want to get with one of these...... :-) Terry Farrell ----- Original Message ----- How nautical! Really quite nifty. Debbie ----- Original Message ----- No troubles mate. You guys simply do not have the proper tuning lever! Terry Farrell -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
