Barbara, In addition to the good responses you've received about undercovers, an extra tank, April Aire, and string cover or whole piano cover, there is another element that often gets overlooked. If there is not enough dehumidification there will be a big shock when the dry season hits. That is, you must bring the wet season level down closer to what is possible to achieve in the dry season. Adding more dehumidifier rods to the mix can sometimes do more good than adding a second humidifier. I can draw you a diagram if you like, just write to me off-list.
