Like the hang gliders say, "never fly higher than you're 
willing to fall", but then if you've never fallen, you've 
never flown either and never will.

Getting hurt a little a lot of times is instructive. Getting 
hurt big once is - very very instructive.

Engage brain, go forth, proceed cautiously, and get some on you...
