It's a professional hazard. Scale designers build from C-8 
down, progressing back from the end, which is the beginning 
for getting down to business and getting your scale up and 
running. So we begin at the end and end at the beginning, 
except for the time spent toward both ends from the 
transition. Get it?

Nothing wrong with thinking left handed if there are 
translators for the benefit of the traditionally wired.
