What's the best way to mark agraffe orientation, prior to removal ? Also: Use new ones?

Hi,Gordon!  On Steinways with serial numbers from 235000 to 265000 agraffes
must be replaced when rebuilding.. Details later... Good Luck!

Patient is 1923 Steinway "M". Also: Should I put in
new ones, or re-work these ??? If new, what is the
