I have had a customer tell me, that now they had a new piano, the free store
tuning, was the last one they would need for a while.
They said their old one, was always going out of tune, and that was why they
bought a new piano.
When I pointed out to them, that the new piano would need more frequent
tuning for the first couple of years, they got mad at me.
They never called me back, and that was 20 years ago.

Wow, Conrad, you live in a different neck o' d woods for sure. The only
pianos I get that go that far south are brand new ones owned by customers
that have been de-educated by salesfolk to think that one tuning a year is
adequate for their new investment(..and I've been blamed more than once for
a new piano not holding its tune).

Are your victims oldies or new pianners?

Young Fang....I kinda like the sound of that.

...you walk into the music area of the high school and the teachers greet
you with,"we could kiss your feet."

  The two I did yesterday: Yam P22 at 437Hz, Young Fang U121 at 435 - and I'd
tuned them both in September. Some notes as far as 45¢ flat on Yammie.
  50+ on YC.

  Job security...;-}

Driving through almost whiteout conditions on the way home wasn't quite as
much fun, though.
