Hello

   Perhaps it is gunk on the strings killing the
sound..................

   I recall restringing a Kawai GS70 for a hall, 10
years old. 

My hands were covered in oil from
destringing......smoke machines.

POPs concerts love smoke. It was killing the sound. I
was surprised At the change in the sound of this 10
year old piinao (at the time)

Have you tried changing a few strings...............
