Greg, There are just too many issues to go over in this forum, especially since this is not a DIY helpdesk. Contact a tech who is familiar with David Stanwood's Touchweight Metrology: http://www.stanwoodpiano.com/instllrs.htm These folks specialize in correcting action geometry problems created by 'New Parts Installers'. As you have realized a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. You need someone who understands the full scope of regulation and the interaction of parts. There is an upcoming PTG Convention where you could take classes on topics pertinent to your situation. You could learn the importance of Strike Weight and action elevations to mention a few. Who knows, you might even be a future technician. Through participation you will receive direction and encouragement, through inquiry you'll receive a referral to a qualified piano technician. -- Regards, Jon Page
