I just thought that many of you would like more info on the Master Piano
Technicians of America.

I learned of the organization through one of our departed senior piano techs
of all time, Newton Hunt who I met on this list in the mid 1990's. I
hesitate to write too much about all this since the PTG is somewhat of a
competing group, though I was a member and RPT of the PTG for over 30 years.
When I joined, a person was admitted to MPT by referral from another MPT
member. There are no member classifications like apprentice, associate,
RPT, CTE. The only goal is to provide the most skilled and honest
technicians around and to ethically provide the best service and education
possible. We have a quarterly Journal sent to members that consists of
technical articles and related industry goings ons. From techs who live in
areas where there is no PTG chapters closeby it gives the person a
connection with other techs around the country. There is a separate
computer list on the web called the MPT list for members and non-members
alike. I believe I am the only MPT member in my state Missouri, and next
month our convention is in my town, St. Louis.
The officers of the MPT are:
President- Jack Hamilton
V-President- Tim Upton
Treasurer- Don Komorski
Secretary- Vincent Mrykalo
Membership Chairman- Joe Benvenuto
Journal Tech. Editor- Vince Mrykalo
Publishers- Jack & Cindy Hamilton
2732 Wayland Ave
Dayton, Ohio 45420-3053
email address- hamilton_piano_svc at sbcglobal
Dues are low compared to the PTG.
This is sent for your information.
