Jon, as usual, comes up with good, practical ideas. I particularly like the "elbow-rubber room," all the while thinking that many of us, by convention's end, are ready for a rubber room!! Something to consider is having a "Net Lounge". An area designated as a gathering place for Pianotech listees. An informal corner of the lobby or showcase area where one could come and go with the heightened possibility of running into someone from the list during the convention. Receptions could also have an area, back left corner or say, where listees could migrate to throughout their mingling, increasing the odds on that chance encounter. The Elbow-Rubber Room is good for a lunch time gathering but is not as convenient as rally points. Many people I met in KC didn't even know about the list. So publicized rally areas will make the uninitiated aware of this fantastic resource. -- Regards, Jon Page Stan Ryberg Barrington IL jstan40 at sbcglobal.net -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
